Oppaidius Tropical Cruise! is a free adult visual novel available on Steam that features over 200 hand-drawn animation frames, a soundtrack with music from popular Japanese guest composers, and a comedic story set during a tropical cruise. The next game in the series, Oppaidius Desert Island!, is planned for 2021.

Forest Guardian Comes to the Switch
The yuri visual novel Forest Guardian came to the Nintendo Switch eShop this week as a surprise release. While the original PC release contains 18+ content, this version has an ESRB Teen rating.
Genshin Impact Visual Novel Event
The free-to-play RPG Genshin Impact is holding a special web event called “Stone Harbor Treasure Journal” that allows players to play through a new story told in a visual novel format and unlock rewards for the main game. The English version of this event will run until November 22nd.
The Silver 2425 Coming to Switch
During Indie Live Expo II, Goichi Suda (Suda51) announced that The Silver 2425 is coming to the Switch. The Silver 2425 is a collection that includes his noir visual novels The Silver Case and its sequel The 25th Ward: The Silver Case. It will be out on February 18th, 2021, in Japan. While an English release has not been announced, Suda51 did mention that he hopes it will be possible.
Jinki Resurrection Coming to PS4 and Switch
Jinki Resurrection, which first came out for the PC on March 27th, will be released for the PS4 and Switch in Japan on February 25th, 2021. There has been no word about a potential localization.
Kin’iro Loveriche Coming to the Switch
Kin’iro Loveriche, which is currently available in Japan for the PC, PS4, and PS Vita, will be adding the Switch to that list next year. The Switch version will be released on February 25th, 2021. There is no news about any potential localization.
Kin’iro Loveriche: Golden Time Coming to PS4 and Switch
Meanwhile, the fandisc to the previously mentioned visual novel, Kin’iro Loveriche: Golden Time, will also be coming to consoles next year. Currently available on the PC, it will be released for the PS4 and Switch on February 25th, 2021, as well. Likewise, there is no word about localization.
New Otomate Game Teased
Otomate, the otome branch of Idea Factory, tweeted out a mysterious teaser for a new Nintendo Switch title. More information will be revealed through a teaser trailer on November 20th, with additional details to follow on December 5th.
New Visual Novel Kickstarter Campaigns
It was a quiet week for visual novel Kickstarters, but we did see the launch of the campaign for NIGHT/SHADE: You’re The Drug.
Describing itself as “an 18+ LGBTQ romantic thriller,” it promises the ability to play through the story either entirely SFW or with NSFW encounters, among other features.
