One can only appreciate the level of dedication it took for these developers to meet their goals and release yet another visual novel into the community. From small indie studios to big productions, here are five titles that have been released this November 2021.
Death Becomes You by Quill Game Studios

Death Becomes You is a mystery visual novel sprinkled with magic. The story takes place in a magical university where you stumble upon the cold-blooded murder of your best friend, Lyra. A handful of students discover you at the scene of the crime, some of them reacting quite oddly to the incident, and it’s both chilling and compelling. Much to your misfortune, they’re quick to peg you as a murderer, so you must investigate the crime, pin down the culprit, and rid yourself of blame. Progress through four different routes and uncover the mystery revolving around your fellow magic students. If a murder mystery meshed with magic is within your realm of interest, then Death Becomes You might be the visual novel to leave you both intrigued and charmed.

Arcadia Fallen by Galdra Studios

Arcadia Fallen is another story-rich magical visual novel released this past November. You play as a very customizable alchemist in a world where war between humanity and magic transpires. It’s up to you and a band of adventurers to save the world from impending doom. Along your journey, you will have the opportunity to engage in LGBTQ+ romance options. Unravel the mysteries and transport yourself into a world rich with lore, magic, romance, alchemy puzzles, and even demon battles. This visual novel is sure to leave you enchanted with all it has to offer.

Cupid Parasite by Otomate
Release Date: November 2nd, 2021 in North America; November 6th in Europe

The story follows Lynette, the top bridal advisor for Cupid Corp, a marriage agency that consults young, stylish singles on romantic etiquette. Love is business in Cupid Parasite, and Lynette is in arm’s reach of her promotion, as long as she can successfully play matchmaker for a group of challenging boys known as the Parasite 5. It is her duty to ensure that they are fully prepped to meet their future partners. The premise of Cupid Parasite, reminiscent of a romantic comedy movie, leaves us wondering if Cupid will ever find love for herself!
Edge Case Love’s Pursuit by Voltage Inc.
Release Date: November 18th, 2021

This visual novel is a combination of high-tech crime, cybernetics, and romance. You start off in your hometown of Los Angeles as an agent at D.I.V.A.A., an agency dedicated to the investigation of villainous acts and affairs. There are two separate storylines that you can choose from, and they follow either a male or female love interest, both of whom are hotshot Phoenix Investigators. If a recipe of romance and action is your flavor, check out Edge Case Love’s Pursuit. This game is available as a series of chapters through the Lovestruck app by Voltage.
Tokyo Love Hustle by Voltage Inc.

Last but not least is another title from Voltage that is now available in English, called Tokyo Love Hustle. This otome features an agency of fake mediums, a group of guys who specialize in the art of conning others. The game opens with the renameable protagonist and her struggle to work in the showbiz industry. Her job is on the line unless she can find people to audition for an upcoming movie. In her search, she finds herself tangled with one of the con-men. Will he help her, or will he make her situation worse? A modern romance with a quirky cast, what’s a better way to enjoy the holiday season than keeping cozy and reading Tokyo Love Hustle?
